My student left a note on my bike it read:
" To. Dominic teacher.
Hi! teacher! I am Piper.
Your bike is very wonderful!!
I like your bike color. Orange is my favorite Color.
So ride your bike carefully ~ bye-"
During my last class we were talking about riding bikes to help the environment and then I told my kids not to steal my bike since I don't have a lock for it. I keep it in the stairwell. My one student, Piper, left me a note on my bike. Her note made me really happy. Also, I was explaining to that class before about bike surfing and how my friends and I used to surf on our bikes when we were little. The next day she came in with a cut on her nose because she told me she was trying to surf on her bike and she did it. haha. so cute. ahh. some of the highlights of my job. So far. I love it.

I'm still alive. I'm not homesick at all. Strange? Maybe... I'm just so excited about what's going on around me and too focused on work to be homesick? Sure I miss people and places, but I'm really fine. well, at least for now. Everyday I think "God, this is awesome."

Dear Friends.
I'll be moving to South Korea by the middle of August. I'm going to start some sort new onlineblogpicturejournal once I get there. Although I'm extremely happy and excited for this opportunity.. I'm also sad. If you're my friend, you know why. Sometimes I think. "what the fuck am I doing?". It's crazy that the one person I'll miss the most is the person who I just started to really get to know.

Just got back from my stress test and I think I passed it. It was more like a nice short work out than anything. The goal was to see how long it took my heart rate of 70 to go up to 166. The treadmill went up 3% of a grade for 3 minutes. My legs started feeling the burn around 8 minutes and then my heart rate finally got up to 171 around 11 minutes.
what am I doing with my life? I wish I knew.

Today I was driving around in the Rain listening to my xm when they said Vampire Weekend was going to come on. I was going to change it because I hate music that reminds me of Christina but it didn't sound like something she sent me before and it made me really happy. And then I started to think about how it's spring and all the dead things are coming alive and turning green. What a shitty last 8 months. fucking horrible. (Fucking horrible doesn't even come close to describing it). BUT spring has made me optimistic about life once again.
Maybe this song will make somebody else happy. It reminds me of a Police song.

Philadelphia is beautiful from the morning until 2 then traffic makes it fugly. I need to invest in a bike rack from my car. I can't wait to start grilling. I forgot that korean food is the bomb. I want more sunny days. got promoted to a appeals clerk. I just handle the appeals now. I should start a new journal or something. or find one
